Thank you to Keith Johnson, Principal of Nekoosa High School, and Scott Carr, Career, Community, and Life Readiness Consultant with CESA 2, for joining us at our last Rotary meeting!
They shared some exciting work being done to rethink how we educate and engage our kids, create more meaningful learning opportunities, and better prepare students for life beyond the classroom.
It was great to hear their ideas and see the passion they have for doing things differently to help our kids succeed. Thank you both for sharing your time and vision with us!
๐ Supporting Opportunities for Young Women in Our Community!
Our Rotary Foundation was proud to provide funding for an Interview Scholarship Award through the Miss Wisconsin Rapids Organization!
We're excited to support opportunities that help young women build confidence, strengthen their communication and interview skills, and prepare for future success.
Congratulations to the scholarship recipient, and thank you to the Miss Wisconsin Rapids Organization for the work you do to empower young women in our community!
Investing in our youth and their futures is something we're always proud to be part of! ๐๐
Troop 105 has a busy season ahead, filled with service, creativity, and community connection! On October 24, the Scouts will participate in the United Way Day of Caring, helping at the homes of Mrs. Barnette and former troop leader Mrs. Marti. On December 9, Rotarians are invited to join the Scouts for Toys for Tots shopping at Walmart at 5 p.m., followed by their Christmas pizza party at the Huntington House.
The Scouts are also busy making holiday crafts to sell at the Hotel Mead Craft Show on November 14 and the Nekoosa Community Center Craft Show on December 5. These are wonderful opportunities to show our support.
Feel free to contact Amy with any questions and/or suggestions for the troop. Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 7pm at the Huntington House, please feel free to attend anytime.
Rotary District 6250 is excited to announce a new partnership with Madison Top Company, a family-owned business in Madison, WI, that will make Rotary-themed merchandise in-house, offering a huge savings for our clubs within our district.
Owners and long-time Rotarians, Aaron and Dawn Frank, are offering all 50 clubs within District 6250 access to an exclusive 62.50% discounted rate on club-branded merchandise. Even more remarkable, Madison Top Company will not receive any profit from these sales. Instead, Aaron and Dawn are generously donating their time and resources to give back to Rotaryโan organization they deeply believe in.
The online store portal is available here! Use Coupon Code 6250 for District 6250 savings! Browse, order, and either pick up in-store or have shipped directly to your club! Happy shopping!
