Happy Friday Rotarians!
We have one last Rotary Meeting in November coming up this Monday. That means that this is the last Ripples until after Thanksgiving. Let us all take a moment this next week to not focus on what we aren’t getting to experience this year, rather lets remain focused on what we do have and be thankful for that. 2020 has brought many twists and curves that may have seemed like a not so welcomed variation to our daily lives however we can choose to not dwell on the negative and remain steady in our focus on spreading positive change. I am thankful that the sun still rises and I can still make the choice of how to live today. These seemingly never ending disruptions to my daily life are mild on the grand scale of things. Keep that in mind as you go through the end of the year where our typical traditions may be experienced a little differently. We have the choice through which lens to view the day.
Here are the Thanksgiving week updates...
No meeting November 30, December 21 or 28.
There is a noon Meeting both December 7 and 14 (AHS choir zooming in for a holiday concert).
What are you planning for Giving Tuesday and Small Business Saturday?
The Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday is known as giving Tuesday. As Rotarians we don’t just set aside one day a year to donate, we are constantly giving but giving Tuesday is a great excuse to make sure you make your contribution to the Annual fund so that we can hit our hundred dollars per year per Rotarian goal.
Additionally Saturday November 28 is small business Saturday. “Growing local economies” is one of our target areas. Small businesses are going through tough times this year, and supporting them helps keep them afloat. Eat out, buy local, and help them keep their doors open and employees employed.
Congratulations to Sue Sippel and the club on earning the Presidential Citation!
Sue Sippel quietly led the club to an achievement we have not been recognized for in quite some time. It is a measure and a marker that this club is “doing the right things.” The Noon Rotary Club of Wisconsin Rapids earned the Presidential Citation last year 2019-2020. This is a great achievement for our club and deserves a round of applause. The unprecedented circumstances of 2020 made this an even greater accomplishment. Thank you for your leadership Sue, and congratulations to the club on a very prestigious recognition.
The Prayer Committee is looking for members...
If you are interested in giving the blessing at our meetings please join the prayer committee. JR Siewert is asking for any members interested to reach out to him with any questions or desires to join. E-mail

It’s the last Monday for the November Youth Rotars…
Joining us for November from LHS we have Jared DeRoche, McKayla Blaser, and Sarah Price. As always make them feel welcome, help introduce them to what Rotary is and does. We are community role models for them.
