This week’s announcements…
Celebrating 102 years, Noon Rotary club of Wisconsin Rapids… On June 17, 1919 Noon Rotary Club of Wisconsin Rapids was chartered. That is 102 years of giving, friendship, and service above self. Keep up the great work. So many things have changed in this world during that 102 years. Wouldn’t it be interesting to sit down at one of those meetings over a hundred years ago? Smoke probably hung thick and beverages likely flowed liberally. The room was full of suits and ties, but the mission positively impact the world remained the same. Happy Anniversary Noon Rotary!
Scout troop 105 enjoyed pizza, provided by the WR Rotary Foundation… Check out the club’s Facebook page for some pictures of our pizza party with the Scout’s. We were able to participate in a Scout meeting to learn about what they do in their troop and how they have weathered the abnormalities of 2020-21. Best of all we brought many smiles to those faces, and had fun of our own. They enjoyed pizza from Pizza Hut, soda, watermelon, and vegetables and dip. The leftover pizza was dropped off at Aspirus Riverview Emergency Department for the hard working frontline nursing staff and physicians. They were smiling as well and ever so appreciative.
Did you EREY yet?... As of June 18, 2021 we have 16 of 53 noon Rotarians contributing to the Annual Fund. That is down from 40 members in 2019-2020. The good news is we have a two weeks yet to pick up our participation! The easiest way is to sign up for Rotary Direct. Donate | Rotary International
Golf on June 28 at 1:30pm at Bullseye Golf Club… There is no reason needed to take the afternoon off and golf with your Rotary friends. If you need a reason, I have two. It is my birthday for starters, as well as my last club meeting as your president. There is an event created in club runner. Please register via an e-mailed link on June 18,
